In order to ensure a high level of accuracy, each project is assigned to a team including:
- Translator(s): responsible for translating the text into their native language
- Editor(s): the translation is checked by a second linguist (source language) in charge of making sure that the target text
accurately reflects the source, detecting any typographical and/or grammatical errors, and verifying that the translator has fully understood every subtle shade of meaning. - Coordinator: responsible for interfacing with clients and coordinating the translators’ and editors’ work. If the client has special graphics requirements, the coordinator monitors the project’s progress with the DTP team.
More over, our translators and editors use the so called CAT Tools. CAT (Computer Aided Translation) tools are especially useful for technical projects/manuals with a large amount of repetition, or for revised versions of manuals and product catalogues.
These important tools help us to create databases and glossaries that are actually customized for each individual client, and to update them with additional terms and text units with every new project.
CAT Tools ensure:
- Consistency of terminology
- Easier management of large volumes
- Shorter processing times
